I discovered my love of food and cooking for others during my time at Baylor University. It began when I started making homemade pizzas for a few friends. Over time, pizza night grew from a few people to over 20. The greatest feeling was watching people eat my food and their reaction to what they were eating.
When I would come home for long breaks, my dad and I would always look for new and interesting recipes to make together. This is what really fueled my passion for food.
In January of 2011, I moved to New York City and enrolled in the Institute of Culinary Education where I received my diploma in Culinary Arts. I worked in a small trattoria in Manhattan while I was in school and when I finished, I took a job at a Michelin Star Italian restaurant in lower Manhattan. This is where I learned to perfect my skills and my love for food.
I moved back to Houston, TX, where I am currently the Executive Chef for a large organization. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Rachel, for 10 years. We have two beautiful daughters, Virginia and Savannah, and a son, George.
